Kevin Holdaway is a traditional printmaker whose craft encompasses a wide variety of themes. His enthusiasm for the urban environment, cityscapes and architecture, is behind the works featured here. Bright, bold colours and geometric shapes made up of many components, some of a topographical nature, others more concerned with monumentalism.
“I invite the viewer into my work to explore, to take a journey through the many visual layers involvedand discover something of the moment I experienced."
A member of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers, Kevin has been the Senior Technical Instructor in Printmaking at De Montfort University since 1990. He teaches a wide variety of traditional printmaking techniques. “I really enjoy using my skills to teach others who share my passion for print” he says.
