'Shadow Space' an exhibition of sunlit paintings by Lesley Brooks opens at the Cank Street Gallery, Leicester on Tuesday, 19th September.

Lesley Brooks is a painter's painter.  She explores spaces between shadow and form.  Bold colours, risky compositions rendered with a sensitive touch.  A delicate flower in a vase balances on the edge of a strong shadow recalling the work of Winnifred Nicholson.
